A film she watched about a new way to relate to horses led to a meeting with the filmmaker, Stormy May, which in turn led to a whirlwind trip to a Horse Welfare conference in Poland and time spent with wild horses. From there Ruth traveled to Norway to visit artist Tina Mareen Buddeberg, caregiver to some lively Icelandic Horses, and onto France to enjoy the free-roaming Merens horses. Through the people and horses she meets, Ruth faces her fear and finds her way to a place of love for all beings.
